The Goldmine Family Gathering

Beautiful home on a beautiful lot, easy distance to the city. Wonderful stay! Positive: The house is right off the main highway, so it's easy to find. About 15 min into Fairbanks which was also nice. It's in the middle of a wooded patch so the view was beautiful! Very nice hosts and easy to communicate with. Negative: The entry way is quite small (about 3x4') to take your snow boots off and we had a group of 6 people, so some people had to wait outside while others took their snow gear off because there wasn't room for everyone at once in the entryway. If you're looking for northern lights, the only north facing windows are in the bedrooms so it's not convenient to just peek out the window if you're hanging out in the living room. Also, even though you're 15 min outside the city, there was still quite a glow of light that made the lights not as visible.
